James Hathaway is the James E and Sarah A Degan Professor at the University of Michigan Law School. He holds affiliations including Director of the University of Michigan’s Program in Refugee and Asylum Law, Senior Visiting Research Associate at Oxford University’s Refugee Studies Program, and President of the Cuenca Colloquium on International Refugee Law (Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo). He directs the Refugee Caselaw Site (www.refugeecaselaw.org) and edits the Journal of Refugee Studies and Immigration and Nationality Law Reports. He is also affiliated with the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia.
