James Harland is a Professor in Computational Logic and Director of the STEM Hub for Digital Innovation (HuDINi) at RMIT University. His work focuses on enhancing STEM education through digital technologies, including mixed reality, robotics, and immersive experiences like the Nova virtual vehicle, developed in collaboration with the Virtual Experience Lab. He is internationally recognized for contributions to intelligent agent systems, automated reasoning, and computer science education. Harland has held roles such as Program Advisor for Software Engineering and Program Director for offshore activities at RMIT’s Vietnam campus. He received an OLT citation (2007) for his teaching excellence in Computing Theory.
