James Goodwin

James Goodwin serves as an Adjunct Music Faculty at Faith Baptist Bible College. His professional background includes extensive military music experience with U.S. Army Bands in Maryland and Germany, as well as roles as a band instructor in public and religious schools across Michigan and Iowa. He holds a B.S. in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and an M.A. in Music Education from Drake University, with additional graduate work at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary.

His professional development includes training at the U.S. Army School of Music and the Army Reserve Warrant Officer Course at Fort Rucker. Goodwin has led bands and choirs in diverse settings, including Frankfurt, Germany, and Des Moines, Iowa. He has also served as a solo/ensemble adjudicator and composer/arranger of music.

Active in church ministry, Goodwin has held roles as a children’s church leader, adult Sunday school teacher, and choir director across multiple Baptist congregations. His work bridges military, educational, and religious music environments.
