James Davies-Warner

James Davies-Warner is a Tutor at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge, serving as the Admissions Tutor with oversight of undergraduate and postgraduate admissions processes and widening-participation programmes. He joined Corpus in 2021 as Schools’ Liaison Officer and was promoted to Admissions and Outreach Coordinator in 2022, leading the development of the Pelican Programme, a flagship access initiative for underrepresented applicants. His work focuses on equitable access to Cambridge education.

• Education: BA in History from Jesus College, Oxford (2005); MA in Medieval History from King’s College, London (2018).

Research Interests: Medieval History, with a specialization in the transition from Roman imperial provinces to Germanic kingdoms between 400-700 AD. His historical analysis intersects with socio-political transformations and post-Roman governance systems.

Professional Roles: Admissions Tutor, Fellow-elect, and Outreach Coordinator. Prior roles include A-level History/English/Politics teaching, property development consultancy, and managing pre-university access programs.
