Dr. James Cronin is an Associate Professor in Biomedical Sciences at Swansea University Medical School. He holds an honorary role as Co-Director of Post-Graduate Research. His academic journey includes a BSc in Medical Microbiology from King’s College London, an MSc from Cardiff University, and a PhD from Swansea University investigating inflammation’s role in throat cancer progression.
Dr. Cronin’s research focuses on cancer metabolism, innate immunity, and chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly targeting aberrant cell signaling pathways. He leads a group exploring therapies to combat chemotherapy resistance and inflammation-driven diseases.
