James Casey

James Casey is a Lecturer IV in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at the University of Michigan. He holds a BS in Secondary Education from the University of Kansas (1997), an MS in Curriculum and Instruction (2004), an MS in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University (2013), and a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Michigan (2020).

His teaching focuses on human and animal physiology laboratory coursework. His academic background spans education, exercise science, and nutritional sciences, with a terminal degree emphasizing molecular and cellular aspects of nutrition. His professional activities include advising and contributing to MCDB’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
