Jake Bundy

Dr. Jake Bundy is an Associate Professor in Metabolomics at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction. He has been at Imperial since 2005 and holds multiple affiliations including the Agri Futures Lab, CDT in Chemical Biology (as a supervisor), Imperial International Phenome Training Centre, Industrial Biotechnology Hub, and Institute of Chemical Biology.

Education: PhD in hydrocarbon degradation and bioremediation from the University of Aberdeen. Postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge, University of California, Davis, and Imperial College London.

Research focuses on metabolomics, particularly untargeted metabolite profiling to determine biological phenotypes. Specializes in microbial and invertebrate metabolomics, integrating analytical chemistry and biochemical approaches. Active in bioinformatics and systems biology applications.

Labs/Teams: Involved with the Institute of Chemical Biology and the Pharmacology and Toxicology research groups. Supervises students in the CDT in Chemical Biology program.
