Jake Bradford is an Associate Lecturer (TIEA) in the School of Computer Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He holds a PhD and Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) from QUT, specializing in bioinformatics and computational methods for CRISPR gene editing.
His research focuses on developing computational tools for genome engineering, particularly improving CRISPR-Cas9 guide RNA design, with applications in coral biology and gene regulation studies. Bradford collaborates with the Centre for Data Science and currently supervises PhD research on optimizing computational performance of CRISPR-Cas guide design tools.
