Jaime Ringstad

Jaime Ringstad is a Lecturer in the Sport & Performance Psychology (SPP) Department at the University of Western States. She combines her academic role with clinical practice as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Alaska, where she collaborates with a psychiatrist and addiction medicine team to provide comprehensive care.

Her research focuses on career readiness and mental health for athletes and individuals facing life transitions. She developed curricula to highlight transferrable skills from sports to workforce settings and implemented similar strategies for junior ice hockey players, published in the HSOA Journal of Alternative, Complementary & Integrative Medicine (2017).

Jaime has taught at the University of Western States since 2017 and is a Registry Approved Mentor through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Her clinical work emphasizes behavioral health and addiction counseling.
