Jaime Manning

Dr. Jaime Manning is a Senior Lecturer at CQUniversity Australia’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences. Her expertise spans precision livestock technologies, agricultural education, and workforce development. She holds a PhD in Precision Livestock Technologies from the University of Sydney and completed her Honours in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences. With over $5.5M in external research funding, she leads projects addressing real-world agricultural challenges through Agri-Tech Education and Extension initiatives. Her research focuses on livestock behavior, sensor technologies, and improving agricultural literacy across education levels.

Jaime’s awards include the 2023 Vice-Chancellor’s Outstanding Researcher Award and selection for the National Farmers’ Federation 2023 Diversity in Agriculture Leadership program. She has supervised multiple PhD candidates on topics like genetic improvement in beef cattle and agricultural education partnerships. Her work emphasizes bridging education and industry through programs like TeacherFX and Gippsland ADAPT, fostering the next generation of agricultural professionals. Jaime also coordinates university units in livestock production and specialized food industries.
