Jaime Liborio Del Razo is an Assistant Professor of Education at Vassar College since 2017. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA’s Graduate School of Education & Information Studies and a BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley. His research focuses on systems of power and oppression in education, particularly the college matriculation of undocumented students and the school-to-military pipeline.
Del Razo’s academic career includes roles as a principal research associate and adjunct professor at Brown University, a high school math teacher, and director of a STEM college outreach program in Compton, California. He is also a Gulf War combat veteran with four years of service in the U.S. Army.
His research interests blend critical theory and mixed methodologies to address systemic inequities. Recent publications examine veteran access to community colleges, fundraising for undocumented youth, and academic resilience among marginalized students.
