Jaime Howard

Jaime Howard is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah, GA, since 2015. Previously, they served as an Adjunct Professor of Visual Arts at Florida State College (2010–2015) and Head of the Visual Arts Department at The Foundation Academy (2012–2014). They are also the owner of 'Have Brush Will Travel,' a business since 1997.

Education includes an M.F.A. in Painting from SCAD, a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of North Florida (Cum Laude), and an A.A. in Arts from Florida State College at Jacksonville. Recognitions include the Educators' Fellowship from SCAD and membership in honor societies like Kappa Phi and Golden Key.

Research and creative work focuses on plein air painting, landscape art, and visual arts education. Notable exhibitions include the SCAD Foundations Faculty Exhibition (2015), First Coast Plein Air Painters Inaugural Exhibit (2015), and *Italy en Plein Air (2007). They have presented workshops on plein air techniques and landscape painting at institutions like Telfair Museum and the FAEA Conference.
