Jaime Dean Harris

Jaime Dean Harris is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Christopher Newport University. They hold a Ph.D. in Sociology from Pennsylvania State University (2014) and a BA from Texas A&M University (2005).

• Research Focus: Religious conflict and terrorism, religious organization theory, and quantitative methodology.
• Teaching Areas: Sociological Foundations, Sociology of Religion, Sociology of Deviance, Social Change, and Race, Ethnicity, and Racism.

Selected Publications: Harris co-authored Perceptions of Career and Technical Education in VA (2019). Grants include funding from Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, Newport News Shipyard, and Southern Company Gas for collaborative research projects.
