Jaime Berez

Jaime Berez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2023) and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park (2018).

Research Interests: Jaime focuses on advanced manufacturing and additive manufacturing (AM), with expertise in manufacturing process/machine qualification, dimensional metrology for AM, X-ray computed tomography (XCT) for metrology and quality analysis, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) methods, applications, and education. His work bridges precision engineering with emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing standards.
