Jaideep Mathur

Jaideep Mathur is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Guelph. His research focuses on plant cell biology, particularly cellular morphogenesis and organelle dynamics. He earned his Ph.D. in Botany from India and has held postdoctoral positions at institutions including the Max-Planck Institute in Germany and the University of Cologne. His work investigates the cytoskeleton's role in plant development and organelle interactions, emphasizing stromules, peroxisomes, and ER dynamics. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and serves on editorial boards for journals like Plant Methods and Plant Signaling and Behavior.
