Jafeth Sanchez

Jafeth Sanchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Education and Human Development. He serves as Co-Director of CBESS and Director of the Latino Research Center since 2022. A three-time alumnus of UNR (B.A. 2004, M.Ed. 2007, Ph.D. 2010), his work focuses on P-20 educational leadership, organizational change, and equity in education.

His recent publications examine GEAR UP student aspirations, STEM survey tools, school uniform policies, critical consciousness in leadership, and diversity discourse in teacher education. These works span educational leadership, policy analysis, and equity-focused methodologies.

As a principal investigator and co-investigator, he has secured approximately $9 million in grants over the last decade. He teaches graduate courses in educational administration and data-driven decision making while directing research initiatives through the Latino Research Center.
