Jaewoong Lee

Jaewoong Lee is an Assistant Professor Adjunct in the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on discovering molecular targets to treat B-cell malignancies, leveraging genetic engineered mouse models to study B-cell development, BCR-mediated immune responses, and leukemogenesis. He holds affiliations with the Müschen Lab and is part of the Cancer Signaling Networks and Center of Molecular and Cellular Oncology.

Education: PhD (2012), MSc (2009), and BSc (2007) from Kyungpook National University.

Research interests include oncogenic signaling pathways, metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer, and therapeutic strategies for B-cell leukemias/lymphomas. Key collaborators include Markus Müschen, Kadriye Nehir Cosgun, and Kohei Kume.

Notable research highlights include identifying β-catenin degradation vulnerabilities, CD25-mediated feedback control of oncogenic kinases, and repurposing GSK3B inhibitors for lymphoid malignancies. Current work explores lipid metabolism and optogenetic modulation of oncogenic signals.
