Jacques Raynauld is a Professor at HEC Montréal since 1978 and has held the Chair of Learning and Teaching Technologies in Management Education since 2003. He is also the Director of the Department of Applied Economics. Known for his innovative approaches, he spearheaded the Virtuose program in 1998, which integrated laptop computers into learning experiences. His work focuses on educational technology, curriculum design, and competency-based frameworks. He has contributed to advancements in ePortfolio systems, ICT in education, and healthcare research, particularly in osteoarthritis treatment analysis.
Research interests span educational technology, management education, econometrics, and applied economics. Notable contributions include developing tools like Karuta 2.2 for ePortfolio discovery and frameworks for curriculum alignment. He has also explored the impact of technological integration on teaching methods and workforce development strategies.
