Jacqueline R. Dr. Anderson's research centers on trauma and homelessness with explicit focus on women's experiences, intersecting with mental health, feminist therapy, and clinical supervision. Her work demonstrates consistent emphasis on trauma-informed services, motivational interviewing, and gender-responsive approaches in social service settings, particularly through her extensive presentations for organizations serving homeless populations.
Prior to academia, she served as Director of Clinical Services at Deborah's Place (2000-2010), where she developed clinical programs for homeless women. Her professional activities include frequent presentations on ethical practice, harm reduction, and leadership training for agencies including Heartland Alliance, Casa Central, and Franciscan Outreach Ministries between 2003-2013.
