Dr. Jacqueline Low is a Full Professor of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), serving since 2001. She holds dual roles as Director of Undergraduate Studies in Sociology and Associate Editor of the international journal Symbolic Interaction. Her teaching focuses on chronic illness, disability, sociology of health, and qualitative research methods.
She earned a PhD in Sociology and has extensive academic leadership experience. Her research interests span health policy, alternative therapies, disability studies, and symbolic interactionist theory, with a focus on qualitative methodologies.
