Jacqueline Labbe is Professor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Sheffield, where she holds a Chair in Romantic-Period Literature. Her leadership responsibilities encompass two schools and four departments: Archaeology, English, History, Philosophy, Music, and Languages and Cultures. She spearheads the development of the University's next Strategic Plan and oversees the implementation of a central University Doctoral Academy.
Her research expertise centers on British Romanticism and Nineteenth-Century Children’s Literature. She has authored four monographs, edited multiple essay collections, and published extensively in these fields, establishing significant contributions to literary studies.
