Jacqueline HO

Jacqueline HO is a Full-time Assistant Professor of Sociology at the School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Singapore Management University (SMU). Her research examines how meritocratic evaluation systems perpetuate inequality, with a focus on Singapore’s education system. She employs qualitative methods, including in-depth interviewing, informed by cultural sociology theories.

Her research interests include inequality, education valuation, cultural sociology, and Singapore-specific educational policies. She teaches the Sociology of Education at SMU.
