Jacob Wisse

Jacob Wisse is an Associate Professor of Art History at Yeshiva University's Beren Campus. He teaches courses spanning foundational art history surveys and specialized topics like Renaissance Art and historical responses to disease in art, including a course titled 'The Art of the Plague.'

Research Interests: Professor Wisse's work centers on Art History, with particular focus on Renaissance and Medieval Art, visual culture, and the intersection of art and societal crises such as pandemics.
