Jacob Rosen

Jacob Rosen is a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), affiliated with the College of Engineering in both the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Department of Bioengineering. He leads the Bionics Lab, focusing on cutting-edge robotics research.

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University (1997)

His research spans Biorobotics, Human-centered robotics, and Medical robotics, with emphasis on rehabilitation engineering, exoskeleton systems, and human-machine interfaces. Additional expertise includes teleoperation, haptics, and virtual reality applications in robotics.

Rosen's work integrates biomechanics and neuromuscular control to enhance robotic systems for surgical and rehabilitative use. His laboratory develops wearable robotics and virtual reality platforms for human-robot interaction.
