Jacob Nyrup is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Oslo. His research focuses on comparative politics, political economy, and autocracies with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods. He leads projects like the ELDAR initiative studying autocratic regimes and co-created the WhoGov dataset, winner of the Lijphart/Przeworski/Verba Award 2021. Nyrup holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and master's degrees from the University of Copenhagen and LSE.
