Jacob Justice is an Assistant Professor of Speech Communication and Director of Forensics in the Department of Writing & Rhetoric at the University of Mississippi. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Political Science from Wayne State University.
His research focuses on political communication, argumentation theory, and rhetorical analysis, with particular attention to:
- Presidential and campaign rhetoric (Trump era)
- Political apologia and scandal responses
- Visual argumentation in public health campaigns
- Misinformation and conspiracy theories
Publications frequently analyze crisis communication, populist discourse, and media framing of elections. Recent work examines the rhetoric of political rallies, defenses of controversial figures (Kavanaugh, Roy Moore), and strategies for combating health misinformation.
Dr. Justice directs the Warren Debate Union and teaches courses in argumentation and political communication.
