Jacob Haubenreich is an Assistant Professor of German at Johns Hopkins University (on leave during the 2024-2025 academic year). His forthcoming book Textual Entanglements (Cornell UP, 2025) examines material production processes in works by Rilke, Handke, and Bernhard. A second project, Weird Books, explores contemporary works challenging boundaries between literature and visual art. Both projects emphasize the evolving materiality of the book in the digital age.
