Jacob Birch

Jacob Birch is a part-time lecturer in the Not-For-Profit Management Certificate program at Redeemer University. He has raised over $20 million in fundraising experience across churches and medium-sized NFPs in Canada and consults on fundraising, facility planning, and strategic challenges. His research intersects theology and nonprofit management.

• BA (1998) in Classical and Ancient Studies from the University of Waterloo

His research interests include Biblical Stewardship, Canadian Philanthropy, and integrating Christian theology with contemporary nonprofit practices. His 2022 article in Christianity Today, 'No, Western Christians Are Not In Exile', explores theological and cultural intersections.

Birch also serves as Director of Philanthropic Partnerships – Churches, advising on fundraising strategies, and led a $6.5 million Affordable Housing Program grant in 2011.
