Jacob Adler

Jacob Adler is a dedicated biology educator and researcher actively involved in mentoring undergraduate students in hands-on research across cell biology, molecular genetics, and biochemistry. He leads innovative course-based research experiences (CUREs) that integrate real-world scientific inquiry into the curriculum, fostering student engagement and discovery.

His research interests span cancer cell biology, gene expression, lipid metabolism in HeLa cells, and plant virology, particularly Rose Rosette Virus. His lab investigates how various fatty acids affect lipid droplet dynamics in cervical cancer cells and explores genetic mutations and expression changes in plants under viral stress.
