Jacky Bloom

Dr. Jacky Bloom serves as the Director of Field Education, Internships, and Student Services at the School of Social Work, San José State University (SJSU), where she also coordinates the PPSC program. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley; an MSW from San Francisco State University; and a B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College. Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California since 2003, her career spans over two decades in administering and delivering clinical services to vulnerable populations. She has led complex community programs addressing child abuse prevention, homelessness, and family support, including roles at the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center and Catholic Charities CYO. Her professional contributions include chairing the San Francisco Homeless Prevention Consortium (1998–2004) and fostering collaborative initiatives with diverse community partners.
