Jacek Salach

Jacek Salach is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Metrology and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Mechatronics, Warsaw University of Technology. His research focuses on magnetic materials, sensor technology, and non-destructive testing. He has contributed to advancements in magnetoelastic effects, graphene-based sensors, and stress assessment in construction materials. Salach has received team awards from the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology for scientific achievements in 2017-2018, 2014-2015, and 2012-2013.

His work integrates materials science with engineering applications, including the development of force sensors using amorphous alloys and eddy current tomography systems for non-destructive testing. He has extensively studied the influence of temperature, stress, and magnetization on magnetic properties of materials like ferrites, structural steels, and nanocrystalline alloys. Salach's research also involves modeling magnetic field distributions and improving sensor sensitivity through advanced materials and design techniques.

Key areas of exploration include functional properties of graphene layers, magnetostrictive delay lines, and industrial applications of magnetoelastic sensors in diesel engine monitoring. His studies on thermal annealing and thermomagnetic treatment of alloys demonstrate expertise in tailoring material performance for specific engineering challenges.
