Jacek Katzer

Jacek Katzer is an academic faculty member at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, affiliated with the Department of Civil Engineering within the Faculty of Geoengineering. He holds the title of dr hab. inż. and functions as an Associate Professor, actively supervising doctoral research and contributing to advanced construction materials research.

His research interests span innovative and sustainable construction technologies, with a focus on:

• Lunar soil simulants and lunar concrete for extraterrestrial construction
• 3D-printed plastic reinforcement in concrete
• Non-conventional concrete using waste aggregates and fiber reinforcement
• Anti-terrorist concrete elements for structural security

His recent scholarly work reflects a strong trend toward sustainable, resilient, and futuristic construction materials, integrating circular economy principles and advanced manufacturing. Publications emphasize material innovation, durability, and security applications in civil infrastructure.

Jacek Katzer is actively involved in doctoral supervision, currently guiding one doctoral student and open to supervising both Polish and international candidates. His research is supported by dedicated laboratory infrastructure and external funding.
