Jacco van Loon

Dr. Jacco van Loon serves as Reader in Physics and Astrophysics at Keele University, where he directs the Keele Observatory. He earned his PhD in Astrophysics from University of Amsterdam and completed postdoctoral research at European Southern Observatory and University of Cambridge.

His research program 'Stellar Ecology' examines interactions between stars and interstellar environments using space-based telescopes and ground facilities. Recent work analyzes gas dynamics in Magellanic Clouds through radio astronomy surveys.
