JP Leider, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health (SPH) and Founding Director of the SPH Center for Public Health Systems (CPHS). He holds academic affiliations with the Division of Health Policy and Management and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His roles include mentoring students in MPH programs, teaching courses on health policy and financial management, and leading research initiatives focused on public health workforce systems. Leider directs evaluation for the Region V Public Health Training Center and co-created the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS). He has managed over $20M in grants addressing public health practice and systems.
Leider’s education includes a PhD in Health Policy and Management (Johns Hopkins) and a BA/BS in Philosophy/Genetics (University of Minnesota).
