JOSE RUBEN GOMEZ CAMARA

Jose Ruben Gomez Camara serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Graphic Expression at the School of Engineering, University of Burgos, specializing in computational optimization and engineering graphics applications. His research bridges theoretical metaheuristics with practical urban systems design.

He earned his doctorate from the University of Burgos in 2010 with a thesis titled "Design of an urban waste collection system: multi-objective approach and use of metaheuristics," supervised by Dr. Joaquín A. Pacheco Bonrostro and Dr. Hernán Gonzalo Orden. His academic foundation combines engineering graphics expertise with advanced algorithmic development.

As an active member of the GRINUBUMET research group, Dr. Gomez Camara focuses on metaheuristic algorithms for complex optimization problems. His work demonstrates particular strength in translating computational theory into sustainable urban infrastructure solutions, especially waste management logistics.
