J. Tobin Grant

J. Tobin Grant is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at Southern Illinois University, where he has taught since fall 2001 specializing in American politics and political methodology.

His research spans American politics, campaign finance reform, public opinion, legislative politics, and measurement theory for social sciences, with current focus on social science measurement theory. He is co-author of Expression vs. Equality: The Politics of Campaign Finance Reform (Ohio State University Press, 2004) and author of Playing Politics, an American politics teaching simulation text (W.W. Norton, 2004). His recent scholarly work appears in the American Journal of Political Science, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Analysis.
