J. Evan Ward

Professor J. Evan Ward leads the Marine Sciences Department at the University of Connecticut, focusing on marine animal-environment interactions, particularly in benthic invertebrates like commercially vital bivalves. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and has held academic roles since 1994, including Fulbright Professorships in Panama and the UK.
