J. David Riel serves as a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, appointed Distinguished Service Professor in 2018 after joining CMU in 2006. He concurrently holds a teaching appointment with the Institute of Software Research in the School of Computer Science for the eBusiness Technology Master’s Program.
