Ivonna Johansen is a Lecturer in Education and PhD student at the Faculty of Education, University of the Faroe Islands. Her ethnographic research focuses on Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and gender dynamics in the Faroe Islands.

Research Interests: Gender equality, ECEC pedagogy, daycare practices, and the rights of the child. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
Activities: Participated in the 2021 PhD course in Academic Writing in English for Researchers and the 2022 Nordic Teacher Education Conference.
Projects: Principal Investigator for the ongoing project Childhood and Gender in the Faroe Islands (since 2019).
