Ivana Davidkov

Associate Professor Ivana Davidkov, PhD, holds the position of Head Assistant at the Department of New Bulgarian Studies, New Bulgarian University (NBU). Her academic background includes a PhD in Philology (2016, Sofia University), a Master's (2008) and Bachelor's (2006) in Bulgarian Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.

• Research Focus: Contemporary Bulgarian language, translation theory/practice, comparative Slavic linguistics, dialectology, onomastics, sociolinguistics.
• Award: 2017 award for her monograph on grammatical transformations in literary translation between Serbo-Bulgarian parallels.
• Publications: Over 20 peer-reviewed articles and a monograph focusing on Slavic comparative grammar, translation challenges, Bulgarian-Serb language contact, dialectal features, and onomastic studies.
• Teaching: Leads the BULB536 seminar on Bulgarian phonology and lexicology.
