Ivan Solivellas Ugena

Dr. Ivan Solivellas Ugena is a Professor in the Department of Catalan Philology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). He holds a PhD in Translation and Language Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University (2021) and degrees from UIB, including a master’s in Teacher Training (2016) and Humanities (2017). His research focuses on critical sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and the intersection of language with politics and society. Previously, he taught at the University of Barcelona and held research contracts at Pompeu Fabra University, including a prestigious Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship.
