Ivan L. Diaz

Ivan L. Diaz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of Biostatistics.

Research Interests: Diaz specializes in biostatistical methods for causal inference, mediation analysis, and efficient estimation in missing data and survival models. His work bridges machine learning and public health, with applications in epidemiology, clinical trials, and health policy.

Selected Publications: Diaz has authored 143 publications, focusing on causal mediation, covariate adjustment in clinical trials, and data-adaptive statistical techniques. Notable works include causal inference methods for longitudinal studies and applications to opioid use disorder and chronic pain.
