Ivan Khovacs

Dr. Ivan Khovacs serves as a Senior Lecturer within the School of Arts, Humanities, Media and Creative Digital at the University of Kent. His institutional roles include:

• Course Director for BA Theology & BA Religion, Philosophy and Ethics programs
• Primary instruction in Christian Doctrine, Systematic Theology, and Theology & Literature
• Oversight of Pastoral Theology teaching

His research critically examines theology through dramatic theory, theatrical frameworks, and cinematic lenses as theological analogues for perception and visibility. This interdisciplinary approach bridges religious studies with performance arts and visual media.

Dr. Khovacs directs MA dissertations in Ministerial Theology and Ordained Ministry through formal partnerships with the Church of England dioceses of Rochester, Southwark, and Canterbury, alongside the Franciscan International Study Centre.
