István Perczel is a Professor at the Central European University (CEU), specializing in Late Antique and Medieval Philosophy. He studied Ancient Greek, Ancient Philosophy, and Patristics, co-translating Plotinus' Enneads into Hungarian. His research focuses on the intersection of Christianity and Platonist philosophy, particularly the Corpus Dionysiacum, and he leads the international project documenting Indian Syrian Christian manuscripts.
