Isola Brown is an Assistant Professor (Fixed-term) and Director of Online Programs in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at Michigan State University (MSU), affiliated with the College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from MSU (2012–2017) and a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania (2008–2012). Her research focuses on neuropharmacology, oxidative stress, and enteric glial cell dysfunction in gut pathology, with recent work exploring glutathione's role in colitis and purinergic pathways in neuron loss.
