Isidore K. Dorpenyo is an Associate Professor of Professional Writing and Rhetoric at George Mason University. He holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Michigan Technological University and teaches graduate/undergraduate courses in technical communication.
His research examines intercultural communication, localization, and social justice implications of technologies. Current work investigates translation glitches in AI systems and their impact on cultural representation. He authored User Localization Strategies in the Face of Technological Breakdown (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) and co-edited special issues on social justice in technical communication.
