Isabelle Schaffner

Isabelle Schaffner is a Professor of French language, literature, and civilization at École Polytechnique (France). She directs the French Studies Program within the Department of Languages and Cultures and currently teaches courses on French literature, cinema, and humor. Her research focuses on French and Comparative Literature, affiliated with the LinX & ITEM-CNRS laboratories.

Her work bridges literary analysis with interdisciplinary studies in cinema and cultural humor. As a faculty member, she contributes to advanced French language education and cultural understanding through courses such as "Advanced French Language & Culture" and "Étudier en France: French Intermediate course B1-B2."
