Isabelle Puaut is a full professor at the University of Rennes I, affiliated with the IRISA research institute's PACAP group. Her research focuses on real-time systems, particularly Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET) estimation, distributed systems, and fault-tolerant architectures. She developed the open-source WCET estimation tool Heptane.
She has held significant academic roles, including organizing major conferences like RTSS (2018 General Chair, 2017 PC Chair), ECRTS, and ISCA. Her career spans roles as a program committee member for numerous international conferences since 2000.
She has supervised over 15 PhD students, with current advisees including Matthieu Rodet and Hector Chabot. Her HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) was awarded in 2001.
Teaching includes courses on low-level programming, real-time systems, and operating systems at the master's level.
