Isabel Santafe is a Senior Lecturer in Hispanic Studies (Education & Scholarship) and ASPIRE Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) at the University of Exeter. She has been affiliated with the Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies Department since 2008, completing her PhD there in 2012 on Beyond Words: A Multimodal Approach to Translation Applied to Global Standardised Advertising Campaigns in International Women's Magazines. She leads the education strand of the CartasVivas project, a collaboration with Complutense University Madrid through Global Classrooms, supported by a 2023 Global Exeter Innovation Fund grant.
