Isabel Ayala

Isabel Ayala is an Associate Professor and Director of the Chicano/Latino Studies Program in the Department of Sociology at Michigan State University. Her research examines the complex racialization and sociodemographic experiences of Latinx populations, emphasizing their resilience and agency in navigating structurally dominant White spaces across physical, symbolic, and social dimensions.
